Brandon, MB. – Plans are well underway for the Brandon Wheat Kings’ 2012 Western Hockey League Training Camp, which is scheduled for Westman Communications Group Place later this month.

The WHL club has announced that Registration will be held on Tuesday, August 28th, with Rookie Camp scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, August 29th and 30th.

Main Camp will begin on Friday, August 31st and will conclude with the hockey club’s annual Intrasquad Game on Sunday, September 2nd at 2 p.m.

All on ice sessions at Westman Place will be open to the public and fans will be admitted free to all scrimmages.

The Wheat Kings will kick off their 4-game pre-season schedule on Thursday, September 6th in Regina with an exhibition game against the Pats. Brandon’s first pre-season home game will be the following night against the Pats.

Western Manitoba hockey fans are encouraged to call the hockey club for their 2012-13 Season Tickets. At $425 for adults, you pay less than $12 per game which translates to a saving of $8 or 40% off regular box office admission prices. Close to 2,000 have been sold for the upcoming season.
