Brandon, MB. -- With the club scheduled to leave on their annual west coast road trip later today, the Western Hockey League's Brandon Wheat Kings have announced a roster move.
17-year old center Quintin Lisoway has been assigned to the Steinbach Pistons of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.
A former ninth round bantam draft choice of the Wheat Kings in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft, the 5'10" 185 lb Neepawa product had one assist in three games with Brandon this season.
Lisoway is coming off a season that saw him score 21 goals and 46 points with an Omaha, Nebraska midget team in 2011-12.
Today's move leaves the Wheat Kings with twenty-four players on their roster - two netminders, eight defencemen and 14 forwards.
The Wheat Kings longest road trip of the season begins this week with games against Medicine Hat and Lethbridge on Tuesday and Wednesday nights respectively.
Brandon begins the trip with a record of 5-3-1-0 and will be hoping to snap a 2-game losing streak.
Wheat Kings next home game is Friday, November 2nd vs Moose Jaw. Tickets for that game as well as all remaining home games are on sale at the Keystone Centre box office, by calling 726-3555 or online at ticketmaster.ca
