Brandon, MB. -- The Western Hockey League's Brandon Wheat Kings have announced that their office will close this Thursday, June 28th and will reopen Monday, July 9th at 8:30 a.m.

While the office may be closed during that time, western Manitoba hockey fans interested in 2012-13 Season Ticket information can obtain it by visiting the Wheat Kings' official website at www.wheatkings.com. Meanwhile fans interested in registering for the hockey club's annual Summer Hockey School, scheduled for July 30th to August 3rd, can print off a form on the Wheat Kings' web site and fax it to (204) 726-3540. Registrations will also be accepted by email to office@wheatkings.com

As of this morning, only one (Atoms) of the four age groups were full for this summer's camp. The hockey school, which will be held under the direction of Wheat Kings' assistant coach Dwayne Gylywoychuk, is still looking for players in the Novice, Pee Wee and Bantam Divisions.

In related news, the team reports that close to 1,800 season tickets have been sold for the upcoming season. Thats about two hundred shy of last year's numbers at this time of year.

The Wheat Kings will be busy over the course of the next two days as the month of June winds down. In addition to unveiling their 2012-13 WHL schedule on Wednesday, the hockey club continues to prepare for Wednesday's Canadian Hockey League Import Draft. Brandon will have one selection to make after learning that right-winger Bruno Mraz has signed a professional contract with a team in his native Slovakia.

The Wheat Kings will have the 35th overall selection on Wednesday. The Moncton Wildcats of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League meanwhile will have the first pick, followed by the WHL's Prince Albert Raiders and Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League.

Wednesday's CHL Import Draft will get underway at 8 am CST.
