Calgary, AB. – The Western Hockey League’s 2012 pre-season schedule has been released, showing the Brandon Wheat Kings playing four exhibition games – two at home and two away.

The Wheat Kings, who will kick off the regular season in late September, will open up their 4-game pre-season schedule off on Thursday, September 6th in Regina against the Pats. The following night, the two teams will square off at Westman Communications Group Place in Brandon.

Brandon’s pre-season schedule concludes with a weekend home and home series with Moose Jaw the following week. The Wheat Kings will host the Warriors on Friday, September 14th before travelling to Moose Jaw on Saturday, September 15th.

The Wheat Kings and WHL will unveil their 2012-13 regular season schedule next week.

In other Wheat Kings news, the hockey club has announced that while the Early Bird Season Ticket deadline has come and gone, sales continue. Thanks to a busy “Seat Moving Day” on Tuesday, the WHL club is closing in on the 1,800 mark.
