Goals for Kids
The Western Hockey League’s Brandon Wheat Kings, in association with members of the Brandon business community, have unveiled plans for the hockey club’s annual “Goals for Kids” campaign.
As in past years, several local businesses will serve as corporate partners this season and each time the Wheat Kings score a goal, these sponsors will donate to the Westman Dreams for Kids Foundation. All proceeds will go towards helping make a dream come true for western Manitoba children that suffer from serious illnesses.
The Wheat Kings’ “Goals for Kids” campaign was established in 1992 and has raised over $300,000.
Among the Brandon businesses participating in this year’s program are Advance Auto Body, Al Rosendaal of Investors Group, Brandon Maintenance Services, Wheat City Electric, Brandon Source for Sports, Crocus Credit Union, Dr. Brian Kiliwnik, Emco Waterworks, Jason Krieser of the Keystone Centre, J & G Group of Companies, McDonalds, Morningstar Metals, NAPA Traction, The 40, Paterson Patterson Wyman & Abel, FYI Doctors and Total Farm Supply.
At Westman Dreams for Kids, we have one simple goal – to give children and their families, who are facing a serious illness, something to smile about. Westman Dreams for Kids is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping kids in the Westman area that have been affected by a serious illness.
