The hockey club's commitment to this program, now into its thirteenth season, will try to encourage everyone in the community to rediscover the powerful and fundamental positive values and the personal rewards in life which make drug use irrelevant. In addition to reacing out the young people of our community, it is our hope that parents today realize how they can make a positive difference in their teens' lives. Research has shown that parents can influence their teen's decisions about drugs. We all admire successful people who do what they dream of doing. Teens look up to athletes as heroes. Positive role models can offer their own stories of how they set their goals and then went out and achieved them. For more information on this program, contact your local RCMP or the Brandon Police Service. |
