Los Angeles, California -- Two members of the Western Hockey League's Brandon Wheat Kings have been chosen in the 2010 National Hockey League Entry Draft in Los Angeles.

Rugged left-winger Michael Ferland was chosen in round five, by the Calgary Flames, with the 133rd overall pick while the Ottawa Senators used their sixth round selection (168th overall).

Ferland enjoyed a solid freshman season with the Wheat Kings, scoring nine goals and 28 points in 63 regular season games. He then added three goals and 4 points in fifteen playoff games.

Stone, who missed substantial time this past season due to injury, did manage to score eleven goals and 28 points in just 39 games.

Ferland and Stone were two of the 43 players from the Western Hockey League chosen in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft including seven in the first round.

The Portland Winterhawks led the way with eight players selected, while Saskatoon had four and Moose Jaw three.
