Manitoba Public Insurance, CAA Manitoba, the Brandon Police Service and the Wheat Kings applaud the efforts of the hundreds of students who patrol our western Manitoba streets and roads.
We see patrols as our safety partners in school neighbourhoods. They are respected school leaders and volunteer safety ambassadors who provide an important service to the public. The skills they gain in this role can serve them well in the future as they move from pedestrians to drivers.
We would like to thank all of the dedicated and faithful young Manitobans who serve us in all kinds of weather. It makes us proud to know the safety of others is secure when patrols are at their posts.
The Brandon Police Service, MPI, CAA, Subway Restaurants and the Wheat Kings will visit area schools each month in recognition of outstanding achievement.
As well, Manitoba Public Insurance and CAA Manitoba has teamed up with Paul's Hauling and Canexus for the annual “Salute to School Patrols Night“, scheduled for Saturday, November 3rd at Westman Communications Group Place when the Wheat Kings play host to the visiting Calgary Hitmen.
