WHL Scholarship... For Every Season Played in the WHL a player is Entitled to a Full One Year Scholarship to a Canadian or American Post-Secondary institution Over 200 WHL Graduate Players Attend Universities and Colleges on Full WHL Scholarships Each Year Since 1993 More than 2,000 Scholarships have been Awarded to WHL Graduate Players The WHL is Currently One of the Leading Providers of Post Secondary Scholarships in Western Canada. Teams including the Wheat Kings coordinate a number of programs, designed to raise money for the Education Fund. Among the events - the 2012 CKLQ Sportsman's Dinner, scheduled for Thursday, February 9th as well as all proceeds raised from the sale of A & W 50/50 tickets during the course of the 2011-12 Western Hockey League season. Former Wheat Kings currently benefitting from the WHL Scholarship Program include Theran Yeo, Stephane Lenoski, Chad Erb, Andrew Clark and Brandon Lockerby. For more information visit www.whl.ca. |
